Best student poster awards

Certificates for Best Student Poster will be awarded by Brazilian Physical Society’s Commissions for different areas. The evaluation process will have two stages. Initially, every poster presented by a student will be evaluated by the session chair, during the first 60 minutes of the session. A short list of selected posters will be made. Then, in the last 30 minutes of each session, an award commission will evaluate again the short-listed posters. In this way, short-listed posters from different sessions will be analyzed by the same award commission. Award recipients will be announced and certificates will be presented at the Closing Session (Thursday May 28, 8:30 pm).

In an effort to cover uniformly the wide range of poster topics, awards will be given according to the following categories:

1) Commission for Condensed Matter and Materials Physics

Applications, Devices & Instrumentation – 1 award
Carbon Nanomaterials and 2D Systems - 1 award
Magnetism – 2 awards
Materials Physics – 1 award
Nanosystems – 1 award
Polymers and Complex Fluids – 1 award
Semiconductors – 1 award
Strongly Correlated Systems – 1 award
Superconductivity – 1 award
Surface Physics - 1 award
Theory and Simulation - 1 award

2) Commission for Biological Physics - 2 awards

3) Commission for Optics and Photonics – 3 awards

4) Commission for Atomic and Molecular Physics - 2 awards

5) Commission for Medical Physics – 1 award
